1 pkg yeast
1/4 cup lukewarm water
1 cup buttermilk
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup shortening
2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 egg
4 cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve yeast in water. Heat buttermilk to lukewarm and add salt, shortening and sugar. Add the dissolved yeast and 1 cup flour with soda and egg to milk mixture. Beat vigorously - Beat and fold in remaining flour until soft dough forms. Fold lightly for 5 minutes and place in lightly greased bowl and cover. Let rise until double in size - Punch down and let rise again. Make into rolls sprinkle with sesame seeds. Let rise 1 hour.

Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes.
