Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2 cakes yeast
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 lb margarine
2 tsp salt
2 eggs
6 1/2 to 7 cups flour (sifted)

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve yeast in 1 cup lukewarm water. Set aside

Pour 1 cup boiling water over 1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 lb margarine and 2 tsp salt. Stir until smooth and let cool.

Add 2 beaten eggs and yeast mixture to the sugar mixture. Stir in flour (dough should be sticky) and blend well.

Cover and let rise until double in size. Punch down (dough is sticky), cover and store in refrigerator 4 hours or overnight. Use handy-wrap (plastic wrap) and a towel to cover (never use foil).

Dough may be stored for up to a week and may be used for bread or rolls. After making the rolls, let rise for 2 hours or more (I let them rise 3 hours). Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes.

Divide dough into 3 balls for 3 dozen rolls. For Crescent rolls, divide dough into 3 parts, roll out into a 12 inch circle - cut into 12 wedges. Roll each up beginning at wide end and place on greased cookie sheet.

Grama Pruessler wrote - Betty when you serve these they are mother's rolls. When you give the recipe away to someone they will become "Betty's Rolls" and so on.....
