Dixie Lily Spanish Bean Soup package (I use 2 packages)
Potatoes (peeled and diced)
Ham Hocks
Cooked ham pieces
Chorizo (OPTIONAL - I DO NOT use)

Directions:
Directions:
Soak beans overnight in salt water to cover.
When ready to cook, drain off salt water from beans.
Bring 6 cups (per package of soup mix) of water to boil
Add beans and ingredients of flavor packets.
Then add remaining ingredients.
Boil for 3-4 hours stirring occasionally (add water if needed)
When beans are tender and you are ready to serve, remove the ham hocks
Salt and pepper to taste.
