3 1/2 cups flour
2 tsp. Baking soda
1 tsp. Salt
1 tsp. Ground cinnamon
1 tsp. Ground nutmeg
1 tsp. Ground cloves
1 tsp. Allspice
3 cups sugar
1 cup vegetable oil
4 eggs, lightly beaten
2 cups pumpkin
2/3 cups of water

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, baking soda, salt, spices and sugar. Add oil, eggs, pumpkin, and water, beating until well blended. Pour batter into two lightly greased 9x5x3 inch loaf pans. Bake 1 hour or until toothpick inserted in center of a loaf comes out clean. Remove from pans and cook on a wire rack.

The loaves can be made with nuts. Add 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans if you want.
