chicken (optional)
½ tsp. salt
1 bay leaf
1 celery stalk, chopped
1 medium onion, chopped
4 medium carrots, shredded
2 c. egg noodles
pepper to taste
*vegetables (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Follow Chicken Broth recipe to make broth. Add vegetables and spices to broth (and cooked chicken, if desired), cook until vegetables are tender. Bring to a boil and add noodles until done. (Grandma usually didn't use the chicken for the soup.)
