2 pkg. (3 oz.) instant vanilla pudding
3 ½ c. milk
8 oz. Cool Whip
1 pound cake (10¾ oz.)
sherry or orange juice
6-10 c. fresh fruit
slivered almonds and/or strawberries

Directions:
Directions:
Beat pudding and milk until well blended. Allow to thicken (about 3-5 minutes). Fold in Cool Whip and set aside. Slice pound cake and place on flat pan. Pour a little sherry or orange juice over each slice allowing it soak into the cake. Using a trifle bowl or a glass bowl, layer pudding cake and fruit, ending with a layer of pudding. Garnish with almonds and/or strawberries. For the best flavor, refrigerate overnight.
