2 lbs Cherries
1⅛ cup Sugar
3½ Tbsp Cornstarch
¼ tsp Almond Extract
2 pre-made pastry crusts

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º.

In saucepan, combine cherries, sugar and cornstarch. Let sit for 10 minutes. Bring to boil over a medium heat - stir constantly. Lower heat and simmer for 5 minutes or until juices thicken and become translucent. Remove from heat and stir in butter and almond extract.

Pour into pre-made crusts.

I have a cherry tree in my backyard. For about 3-4 years Kara and Krista Kates would come over to my house during the summer. They were always so excited to pick the cherries and make cherry pies.
