Directions:Read directions on thawing frozen bread. I usually just thaw it in the microwave for 3 minutes, then let it sit for one hour. After dough is thawed, roll into an 11x8 rectangle. Make sure you have "popped" all of the air bubbles out of your dough. Beat 1 egg, and brush it into the dough. Top the dough evenly with the cheese. Use more or less cheese for your taste. Now, begin to roll the dough from the short side. Once you have the dough rolled into a loaf, pinch the seam closed. Place the loaf in a greased loaf pan, seam down. Let loaf rise in the refrigerator for about 8-10 hours (or overnight) until the dough has risen to approximately 2-3 inches above the top of the pan. You may need to let the dough rise on top of the stove for an hour or two.
Once you are satisfied with the height of the dough, place it in a 375º oven for 25-30 minutes. This will vary depending on the dough, so bake according to frozen dough directions. Let bread cool for about 30 minutes in loaf pan, then cut and serve warm.
This recipe can be modified for rolls by freezing dough for one hour and then slicing the loaf like cinnamon rolls. Place each individual sliced dough in a greased muffin pan. Allow these to rise until they double in size. Bake in a 375º oven for about 15-17 minutes or until browned. Martha Stewart eat your heart out!! |
