½ cup Butter
½ tsp Baking Soda
1 cup Sugar
½ cup Buttermilk
1 Egg
2 cups Flour
1 tsp Vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º.

Beat butter and sugar. Mix in egg and vanilla. Stir baking soda into the flour. Mix in ¼ of the buttermilk, as well as ¼ of the flour. Continue to mix in parts of buttermilk and flour until everything is mixed. Don't overbeat or they will be tough. Drop by teaspoon onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Sprinkle with sugar. Bake 10 -12.
