Round Steak
Homemade or Stovetop Dressing
Flour
Salt
Pepper
1 jar Heinz Gravy (or homemade)
1 can mushrooms

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat Oven to 350º

Cut Round Steak into small pieces; pound with a mallet to tenderize. Dredge in flour, salt and pepper and brown. Place in bottom of pan or casserole dish. Put mushrooms and gravy over meat. Put stuffing on top of everything. Cover and bake 1 hour at 350º.

Mom always had Kitchen Bouquet (she liked her gravy dark) and creamed Cornstarch on hand. The cornstarch makes the gravy smooth, you just put a couple of tablespoons in a small bowl, add water, then slowly add the gravy to thicken it up. If, however, the gravy turned out lumpy, she would put it in the blender.
