2 c. Sifted Flour
1 tsp. Baking Powder
1/2 tsp. Salt
1/8 tsp. Nutmeg
1/2 c. Sugar
1 3/4 tbsp. Crisco
1/3 c. Buttermilk
1 1/2 tsp. Vinegar (add to Buttermilk)
1/2 tsp. Baking Soda
1 Egg - beaten
1/2 tsp. Vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Add Sugar and Vanilla.
Cream until fluffy.
Beat Egg well and add to Crisco and Sugar mixture.
Add flour and Buttermilk alternately to Egg mixture and stir until well mixed.
Roll in waxed paper and chill.

Heat Fat to 375º F.
Cut out on floured board.
Roll 1/4" thick.
Makes 1 dozen.
