Beat well: 3 eggs

Add: 1/2 cup sugar 3 Tbsp. butter, 1 cup milk (which has been scalded).

When cooled to warm, add: 2-1/2 Tbsp. yeast (or 1 yeast cake until dissolved)

Add: 2cups flour and beat well

Let rise 2 hours, then add: 2 more cups flour l/2 tsp salt.

Let it rise, then roll 1/2 of mixture at a time as for cinnamon rolls.

Cream l/2 cup sugar with slightly melted 1/2 cup butter and grated rind of 2 or 3 California oranges.

Spread on dough,

Roll it up jellyroll fashion & cut in 1 inch thick slices.

Put in greased muffin pans.
Let rise until doubles (about 40 minutes)

Bake in hot oven (425 or 400) abut 8-12 minutes. Makes about 2-1/2 Dozen
