½ pound butter
3 cups sugar
6 eggs
3 cups all-purpose flour
¼ teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar together. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Sift flour and salt together; add to mixture. Mix soda with sour cream; add to mixture. Grease and flour ring cake pan Bake in a pre-heated 300º oven for 1½ hours or until done.
