2 10 oz. frozen chopped broccoli
1/4 cup sliced green onion
1/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp mace or nutmeg
2 cups chicken broth
3 tbsp butter
3 tbsp flour
2 Cups milk
1 cup cheddar cheese

Directions:
Directions:
In a large pot place broccoli, chicken broth, salt, onions and nutmeg. Cook until broccoli is soft. Cool slightly.
Purée by hand blender or food processor. Put the puréed broccoli back in the large pot. Set aside

In a saucepan melt butter, add flour and cook for 2 minutes. Slowly add the milk whisking until thick. Add the cheddar cheese and whisk until all the cheese is melted.

Blend the cheddar cheese mixture in the large pot with the broccoli.

Heat and enjoy!
