1 c. brown sugar
1 c. ketchup
1/4 c. vinegar

2 c. cold water
2-3 tbsp. cornstarch

Directions:
1. In a saucepan, bring brown sugar, vinegar and ketchup to a boil (2-3 minutes over medium-high heat), stirring occasionally. Cook and stir until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat.

2. Mix cornstarch and cold water together. Whisk until well combined. Stir into ketchup mixture. Heat sauce, stirring occasionally until it becomes thicker. If too thick, add a bit of water.

3. Add to cooked meatballs or use alone on rice.

This recipe originates from my friend Cynthia Hiebert. It makes a great sauce for sweet n' sour meatballs and rice. I usually double the recipe for our family since we tend to like a lot of sauce on our rice. I have adjusted the vinegar amount by half, otherwise, the recipe is the same. Enjoy!
