Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
2 cups flour
3 tbsp. milk
1/2 cup melted butter
2 bananas mashed
nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar and eggs together. Combine the dry ingredients and add alternately the milk to the egg mixture. Add butter and bananas and mix thoroughly. Bake in a well-greased loaf pan at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes. I have found that if I make a "sling" of parchment paper and place it side to side in the loaf pan, the bread turns out or lifts out much easier. I bake it at a lower temperature and slower, so it doesn't get too dark on top.
