1 ½ cups powdered sugar
1 ¼ cup softened butter
1 tsp peppermint extract
1 tsp vanilla
1 egg
3 cups flour
1 tbsp. baking powder
½ tsp salt
½ cup finely crushed peppermint candy

Glaze:
1 ½ cup powdered sugar
2 to 3 tbsp. milk
crushed candy for topping

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350º. Combine powdered suga, butter, extracts and egg. Beatat medium until creamy (2 -3 minutes). Reduce speed to low and add flour, baking powder and salt. Beat 1 to 2 minutes or until blended. By hand stir in the crushed candies. Shape into ¾ inch balls and roll in granulated sugar. Place 1 inch apart on cookie sheets and bake 10 to 12 minutes or until set. Cool completely.

In a small bowl mix powdered sugar and enough milk for desired glazing consistency. Drizzle cookies with glaze and sprinkle with crushed candy.
