1 qt applesauce (preferred for moistness, but can use bottled fruit or canned fruit)
4 tsp baking soda
1 cup vegetable oil
2 cups sugar
4 cups all-purpose flour
4 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp ground nutmeg
1 tsp ground cloves
1 tsp salt

Topping:
½ cup butter
¼ cup evaporated milk
½ cup brown sugar
2 ½ cups powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease a sheet cake pan or a cookie sheet that has sides.
If using fruit such as peaches, put into a blender. After blending, pour fruit into a large mixing bowl, and
add rest of ingredients. Mix well. This makes a lot. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake for 45-55
minutes. Cool in pan.

Topping:
Place butter, milk, and brown sugar into a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil. Then add powdered sugar
and vanilla. Spread over the cooled cake.
