4 eggs
8 slices day old bread
8 slices american cheese
2 1/2 c. milk
1 T. chopped onion
1 1/2 t salt
1/2 t mustard
dash of pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350

trim crust from 5 slices of bread. cut slices in half diagonally, set aside
use remaining 3 slices of bread to cover bottom of 8x8 greased baking dish. top with cheese slices and place bread triangles slices on top of that.

Beat eggs, blend in rest of ingredients, pour over bread, cover and let stand at room temperature for 1 hour or several hours in the refrigerator. Remove from refrigerator 30 minutes before baking.

Bake uncovered for 40 minutes or until knife comes out clean.
