1/2 C. Crisco (or butter)
1 C. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. grated lemon peel
1 unbeaten egg
1/2 C. canned crushed pineapple (drained)
2 C. sifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
Directions:
Directions:
Combine first 5 ingredients, blend well. Add pineapple. Sift together dry ingredients. Add to Crisco mixture. Mix well.

Drop level tablespoons of dough onto greased baking sheet

Sprinkle with mixture of 1 Tbl. sugar and t tsp. nutmeg

Bake 12 minutes at 375º to until delicate brown

Refrigerate after 2 days.
