1 cup pre-sifted flour
2 tbs. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2/3 cup corn meal
2 tbs. cooking oil
1 egg
3/4 cup milk
1 pound frankfurter
fat for deep frying
mustard and ketchup

Directions:
Directions:
1. In mixing bowl sift flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Blend in corn meal. Add oil, egg and milk, stir just until dry ingredients are moistened.

2. Meanwhile cook frankfurters in boiling water for 5 minutes. Drain well, coat in batter

3. Drop frankfurter into deep fat heated to 365 degrees. Cook for 5 minutes or until golden brown.

4. Drain on absorbent paper towels, serve at once with mustard and ketchup, as desired
