1 1/2 T. SALT
1/4 T. PEPPER
2 1/2 LB. STEW BEEF (SIRLOIN TIP!)
1 C. BURGUNDY
1/2 T. DILL WEED
1 CAN CONSOMME
1 PKG. FROZEN ARTICHOKE HEARTS (OR ONE CAN)
2 PKG. REFRIGERATOR BISCUITS
16 MUSHROOMS

OPTIONAL:
MELTED BUTTER
PARMESAN CHEESE

Directions:
SAUTE GARLIC AND ONIONS AND REMOVE FROM PAN. DREDGE MEAT IN FLOUR AND BROWN IN HEAVY KETTLE. ADD ONION, DILL, WINE, AND CONSOMME. COVER AND SIMMER 1 1/2 HOURS. ADD ARTICHOKE HEARTS (COOK FIRST IF FROZEN) AND SAUTEED MUSHROOMS. MIX GENTLY AND CORRECT SEASONING.

POUR INTO CASSEROLE. CROWN WITH BISCUITS. OPTION: BRUSH WITH MELTED BUTTER AND SPRINKLE WITH PARMESAN. BAKE 15-20 MINUTES IN 400 DEGREE OVEN.
