2 egg whites
1½ cup sugar
1½ tsp. light corn syrup OR ¼ tsp. cream of tarter
⅓ cup cold water
dash of salt
1 tsp. vanilla
Directions:
Directions:
Place all ingredients except vanilla in double broiler. Beat 1 minute with electric mixer. Cook over boiling water, beating continually until mixture forms (about 7 minutes). Remove from heat. Add vanilla. Beat until spreading consistency. If doubled, it will frost tops and sides of 2- 9 inch layers or 1- 10 inch tube cake. For smaller amount use half of ingredients. Cook for 4 minutes.
