1 white cake mix, prepared according to directions
2 - 8oz containers sour cream (don't use light)
2 cups sugar
2 cups coconut (frozen is best)
12oz cool whip
Optional: fresh or frozen strawberries (sweetened with sugar)

Bake white cake as instructed on box. Grease 13x9 pan with shortening and flour. Let cool, remove from pan and slice in half

Mix together: sour cream, sugar, and coconut.

Hold out 1 cup of mixture.

Spread the rest over bottom half of cake and add top half.

Mix the 1 cup of reserved mixture with 12 ounces of thawed cool whip and front the entire cake.

Personal Notes:
Can use frozen or fresh strawberries (sweetened with sugar) in the middle. Save a little to mix with the cool whip to frost cake.
