1 1/2 cup sugar, divided
1/3 cup butter
2 cup flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 cup milk
1 tsp lemon juice
2-4 cup blackberries
2 cup boiling water

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º

Cream 1 cup sugar with butter, add flour, baking powder, salt and milk. Mix well. Pour into 9x13 pan. Pour blackberries over batter; sprinkle remaining sugar over blackberries. Pour boiling water over top.

Bake for 50 minutes or until golden brown
