"As I ate the oysters with their strong taste of the sea and their faint metallic taste that the cold white wine washed away, leaving only the sea taste and the succulent texture, and as I drank their cold liquid from each shell and washed it down with the crisp taste of the wine, I lost the empty feeling and began to be happy, and to make plans."--Ernest Hemingway

Personal Notes:
This is a really good recipe given to my Mom by the wife of her boss, Don McGee, the Chillicothe City Auditor. Nancy was a wonderful person and a great cook. Sadly, around 1986 she was murdered by her former son-in-law during a home invasion in which he also killed Don and Nancy's daughter. He later took his own life.
