Directions:
Crust:
Mix Crisco, flour and salt until mixture is crumbly. Add enough cold water for mixture to stick together and form a fall. Roll out dough and place in pie pan. Bake at 350º 10 to 15 minutes until brown.

Filling:
Beat egg yolks, add milk and blend. Mix sugar, flour salt and cocoa together. Add to eggs and milk. Place in pot and cook over medium heat and cook until thickens. Remove from heat and add vanilla and butter. Pour into cooked pie shell. Top with whipped cream.

Alternate microwave method. Mix all ingredients except butter and vanilla together in an 8 cup glass mixing cup or bowl. Microwave for 3 minutes. Whisk mixture and microwave for 3 more minutes. Mixture should be thick. If needed whisk again and cook for 1-2 more minutes until mixture is very thick. Add vanilla and butter. Pour into pie shell. Top with whipped cream.

If desired, egg whites may be stiffly beaten and put on top of pie, making sure to seal the edges all the way around to the crust. Bake until light brown.
