1 head of cabbage
1 lb. fresh ground pork
1 lb. fresh ground ham
1 c. rice
salt and pepper to taste
1 large can of sauerkraut

Preparation of cabbage:
Core, and soak in hot water to loosen leaves to peel off.

Mix ground pork and ground ham together. Add rice and salt and pepper to meat, mix well. Roll oblong balls (make balls to size according to size of cabbage leaves). Peel off cabbage leaves and place meatballs on cabbage leaf, and roll tight. Tuck ends into the meat. Put in a large kettle, cover with a can of sauerkraut and water until covered. Cover kettle with a lid and boil for 1-1 hours.
