1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. water
1 c. white corn syrup
3 c. coconut, finely shredded & divided
1/2 c. walnuts (optional)
1/2 c. candied cherries
1/2 c. raisins
1/2 c. dates
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. butter

Directions:
Directions:
In saucepan, combine sugar, syrup and water. Cook without stirring to 240 degrees. Thicken with fruit and nuts. Add vanilla, salt and butter. Butter pan and sprinkle with one half of the coconut; add candy mixture; sprinkle with remaining half of coconut.
