6 tart apples
1 Tbsp. Flour
2 Tbsp. Butter
1 tsp. Nutmeg
2 c. Water
1 c. White sugar
1/2 c. Brown sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Wash, peel and core apples; place cores and peelings
in saucepan with 2 c. of water and boil down until 1
cup of juice is left. strain; add sugar, flour, nutmeg,
and butter. Place sauce pan on stove and boil until
it is a little thick, then cool. slice apples into crust;
then pour the thickened juice over apples; place top
crust on and vent. Damping pie with a little cold water
and sprinkle with a little white sugar. Bake at 240 * until
apples are done and the crust is nice and brown.
