1 cup sugar
1 cup light brown sugar
1 cup sweet butter (room temperature)
2 large eggs (room temperature)
1 cup sour cream
1 tsp. pure almond extract
3 cups unbleached, all purpose flour
1 1/2tbl. baking powder
2 cups pears (peeled and chopped)

Topping
1 Tbl. cinnamon
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup almonds (ground and toasted)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º.
Beat together the butter and sugars. Add the eggs, sour cream and almond extract.
Stir in the remaining ingredients until blended.
Do not overmix.
Please in greased bread pans or muffin tins.
Sprinkle with the almond topping.
Bake for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
