1 c. milk
¼ c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
¼ c. butter
½ c. warm water
2 pkg Fleischmann's Yeast, active dry or compressed
2 eggs beaten
4½-5¼ c. unsifted flour (about)

Scald milk; then stir in sugar, salt and butter. Cool to lukewarm.
Measure warm water in large warm bowl, sprinkle or crumble in yeast; stir until dissolved,
Add lukewarm milk mixture, eggs and 2 cups flour. Mix until smooth, add and stir in enough remaining flour to make soft dough. Turn out onto lightly floured board; knead until smooth and elastic, about 8 - 10 minutes. Place in greased bowl, turning to grease top. Cover; let rise in warm place free from draft, until doubled in size, about 30 minutes.

Punch down. Turn out on lightly floured board.

Divide dough into 3 equal pieces. For each piece into a roll 9" long; cut into 9 equal pieces; form into smooth balls. Place in greased pan. Cover; let rise in warm place, free from draft, until doubled in size, about 30 minutes. Brush lightly with butter. Bake in oven 375º about 15 to 20 minutes.

*Grandma did not have to form a 9" long roll, she just pinched off the dough and formed into smooth balls. Practice make perfect!
