Madewell Pecan Pie Recipe

2/3 Cup Sugar
1/3 Cup Melted Butter
1 Cup Corn Light Syrup
1/2 Teaspoon Salt
3 Brown Eggs
1 1/2 Cup Pecans

Crust

One 9 in pie crust

1/3 Cup Plus 1 Tablespoon Crisco Chilled
1 Cup King Arthur Unbleached Flour Chilled
1/2 Teaspoon Salt
2 - 3 Tablespoons Very Cold Cater
Love
Cut Crisco into flour and salt until particles are size of small peas. Sprinkle in water - one tablespoon at a time. Very lightly fold water into flour mixture just until all flour is moistened. Add love.

Gather pastry into a ball, shape into flattened round on lightly floured board. (Tip, I use wax paper and roll the dough between the wax paper that is lightly floured.)

Heat oven to 375.
Prepare pastry.
Beat eggs, butter, corn syrup, salt and eggs.
Stir in pecans.
Add love.
Pour into pastry shell.

Bake until set, 40 - 50 minutes.
