Ingredients: Meatballs 3/4-1lb ground pork sausage 3/4-1lb ground beef ~ lean 1 Lg Egg 1 cup Bread crumbs 1/2 tsp black pepper 2 tsp salt 2 tbsp Parmesan cheese Mix all above ingredients together in a large bowl and form balls. Sized according to your liking. Brown in a large frying pan with 1 tsp Olive Oil. Once done you can serve with accompanying sauce. Note: You can also just brown meat with garlic and seasonings then add all ingredients to sauce and cook as directed. If you prefer not to have meatballs but ground meat.

Directions:Sauce: 2 Tbsp Olive Oil 2 28oz cans crushed tomatoes 1 12oz can tomato paste 1 15oz can tomato sauce 1 tbsp sugar 2 tsp salt 1 bay leaf 2 cloves garlic or powder 1 tbsp basil 1 tsp oregano Use a 6 quart pot or bigger ... saute garlic in Olive Oil on low heat. When garlic starts to brown add tomatoes, sauce and paste, stir. Add next 5 ingredients, stir well. Cook on lowest heat for 1 1/2 hours. Stirring occasionally and tasting. Add seasoning to taste. Note: This can be store separately in the freezer in individual freezer bags. |
