2 cups sugar
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1 cup chopped pecans
1 tsp. vanilla
2 egg whites

Directions:
Directions:
In a heavy sauce pan on low heat cook and stir sugar, water and syrup until sugar is dissolved. Increase heat to med. Cook without stirring until a candy thermometer reaches 268º.
While candy cooks beat egg whites until stiff but not dry.
Beating constantly slowly pour the hot syrup in a fine steady stream into the whites.
Continue to beat until candy holds its gloss. Fold in nuts.
Drop by spoonfuls on 9 in pan. Let cool.
