1 gallon jar sour pickles
5 lbs. sugar
1 jar pickling spices
1 whole garlic, chopped
1 jar sliced jalapenos (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
slice pickles 1/4" thick. In large bowl, layer pickles, sugar and spices. Repeat layers and cover container. Stir contents one time each day for eight days. Fill glass jars with pickles and store in refrigerator.
