2 C. milk
1 C. sugar
1/4 C. cocoa
1/3 C. flour
4 eggs, separated
1 tsp. vanilla
2 Tbsp. butter

Meringue:
4 egg whites
1 tsp. cream of tarter
6 Tbsp. sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Stir the sugar, cocoa and flour together. Add the milk slowly, continuing to stir. Cook over medium heat in a saucepan. Add a little of the warm mixture to the egg yolks, stirring constantly. Add the mixed eggs back into the saucepan. After the mixture thickens, add the vanilla and the butter. pour into a pie pastry.

Meringue:
Mix the egg whites and sugar with a mixer at high speed, gradually add the sugar a little at a time. when the egg whites get full and fluffy and the sugar is blended in well, top the pie filling. Bake at 400º until the meringue is golden brown.
