PLUM PUDDING
Steamer
cup grated bread
cup finely chopped suet
cup raisins
cup currants
cup coffee sugar
cup citron (candied lemon and orange peel)
cup milk
cup molasses
4 eggs
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp cloves
1 tsp nutmeg
tsp salt

PLAIN SAUCE
cup sugar
tsp butter
1 Tbsp cornstarch or flour
1 Tbsp cold water
1 cup hot water
flavoring

CUSTARD SAUCE
Egg and milk and flavoring

Directions:
Directions:
PLUM PUDDING

Stir all ingredients together.
Place in a pudding bowl and steam for 3 hours.
Remove from bowl, wrap in cheesecloth and store in a cool, dry place.

Reheat before serving

PLAIN SAUCE:
Combine sugar and butter.
Mix cornstarch with cold water, then add the hot water, mix in the sugar and butter and bring to a boil.
Add flavoring to taste.
