Ingredients:

Horchata
1 C uncooked rice
4½ C water
1 C milk
½ T vanilla extract
2 cinnamon sticks or ½ T ground cinnamon
⅓ C white sugar
¾ C tapioca pearls
1 ¼ tsp white sugar

Directions:
Directions:
1) Pour the rice and water into a blender. Blend together for about 30 seconds. If you are using cinnamon sticks, place them in now.
2) Let rice and water stand at room temperature for about 3 hours.* Use a fine strainer to strain the rice water into a pitcher. Throw out the cinnamon sticks and the leftover rice. Stir the milk, vanilla, sugar, and cinnamon (If you are using cinnamon) into the rice water.
3) * About 15 minutes before your timer is done, start to make the boba by boiling 7 cups of water. Now carefully pour the uncooked boba(Tapioca Pearls) into the boiling water. When they start to float, turn the heat down, take off the lid of the pot, and keep cooking for another 3-6 minutes. Now strain out the boba from the water, and pour the boba into a bowl of cold water. Keep the boba in the cold water for 15 seconds. Strain out the water from the bowl and stir in the sugar until it’s completely dissolved.
4) Now serve by scooping boba and ice into your glass, and then pouring in your horchata. Enjoy! Now serve by scooping boba and ice into your glass, and then pouring in your horchata. Enjoy!
