Ingredients:  
1 3/4 c. sifted flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 c. chopped walnuts or pecans
2/3 c. brown sugar
1/3 c. shortening
2 eggs unbeaten
1 c. mashed bananas

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together 1st 4 ingredients
add nuts and set aside

In mixing bowl thoroughly cream sugar and shortening

Add eggs and beat well

Stir in mashed bananas, then flour mixture, beat until smooth

Pour into greased loaf pan

Bake at 350 for 1 hour
