1/2 cup of sugar
1/3 cup of flour
3 egg yolks
1 cup of milk
1 cup of evaporated milk
1/2 cup of Eagle brand milk
1 box Nilla Wafers ( I use extra cookies)
5 bananas
1/2 tsp.vanilla flavoring
1/2 tsp.banana flavoring
Dash salt

Layer vanilla wafers and slice bananas over the top . Heat all ingredients in a double boiler, except the flavors. Stir well to prevent scorching. Cook until thickened- about 15 minutes. Add vanilla and banana flavoring. Pour over wafers and bananas. Top with meringue, if desired.

This recipe is also good without the bananas. Strange I know , just add more banana flavoring.
