1 cup sweet butter
2 large eggs
3/4 cup light brown sugar
3/4 cup white sugar
1 tsp, pure vanilla extract
2 1/2 cup unbleached, all purpose flour
1tsp. baking soda
2 cups chocolate chips (white chocolate can be used too)
1/2 cups chopped nuts (macadamia nuts are great when you use white chocolate chips)
Directions:
Directions:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the baking soda, flour and salt. Set aside.
In another bowl beat the butter, sugars and vanilla extract together until well incorporated.
Beat in the eggs one at a time.
Gradually add the flour mixture and mix well.
Stir in the chocolate chips and nuts (optional).
Drop by teaspoons onto upgreased baking sheets or with parchment paper.

Bake at 325º for 10-12 minutes.
