2 C granulated sugar
1 C chopped walnuts
4 cubes butter - no margarine

Before beginning the cooking prepare a cookie sheet buttered to have the candy poured into. Make sure you have a heavy pan and a candy thermometer. Start cook on high, MUST stir constantly till reaching 304º. Pour immediately into buttered cookie sheet and score when hot (use knife to cut line in the toffee to the size you want for serving size, once cooled will make it easier to break into pieces for dipping in chocolate).
