1½ c flour
1½ c shredded American or cheddar cheese
1½ c graham cracker crumbs
1 c packed brown sugar
2½ c sliced cooking apples, peeled (about 3)
½ t baking soda
¾ c butter or margarine, softened
¾ c sugar
½ c chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Combine flour, graham cracker crumbs, brown sugar, baking soda, and margarine in a large bowl until crumbly. Reserve ½ cup crumbs and pat the remaining crumbs into an ungreased 9X13 inch pan. Place shredded cheese over crumbs. Combine apples and sugar in medium bowl. Sprinkle over cheese. Sprinkle the reserved crumbs and chopped nuts over the apples. Bake at 350º for 35-40 minutes until deep golden brown. Serve warm. Store in refrigerator.
