2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. cinnamon
2/3 cup of shortening
1 1/3 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 cup milk (add any kind - buttermilk, canned, etc.)
1/2 cup cocoa
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar until smooth and creamy. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Mix dry ingredients in another bowl. Alternately, add mixed dry ingredients with milk continuously beating until mixture is smooth with batter consistency. (Too much flour will make cake too dry. So, easy with adding too much flour). Pour into large cake pan, greased and floured). Bake 30 - 45 minutes at 375º.
