1/2 cup margarine
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup milk
1/3 cup cocoa
1/2 tsp. salt
3 cups uncooked oats
1/2 cup coconut
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix first 5 ingredients and boil 2 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in oats, coconut, nuts and vanilla. Do not bake. Drop by teaspoonful on waxed paper and chill until cool and firm.

Grandma Redder made these cookies and they were our favorites as kids. They are easy to fix, and I make them a lot, especially around Christmas, to share with co-workers.
