Ingredients:  
1 2/3 c. flour
1 c. sugar
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/3 c. shortening
1 tsp. almond flavoring
2/3 c. milk
1 egg, beaten

Frosting:
3 T. soft butter
5 T. brown sugar
2 T. cream
1/2 c. coconut

Directions:
Directions:
Mix dry ingredients with remaining ingredients. Bake at 350º for 30 minutes.

Frosting: Mix together ingredients and spread onto baked cake. Place under broiler until top is bubbly and lightly brown.
