1 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. applesauce
1 tsp. baking soda
2 c. flour
1 c. raisin, floured
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cocoa
1/2 c. nuts (optional)
Directions:
Directions:
Cream together sugar and shortening. Mix applesauce and baking soda together, then add to sugar mixture. In bowl, stir together flour, raisins, spices and cocoa; add to mixture. Lastly, add nuts, if desired, and mix well. Bake at 350º for 30 minutes or until done.
