1. 3-C all-purpose flour

2. 1-1/4 Shortening

3. 1 tsp salt

4. 1 egg, well beaten

5. 5-T ice water

6. 1-T vinegar

1. Cut shortening into flour and add salt

2. Combine the egg, water, and vinegar

3.Pour this liquid into the flour mixture all at once

4. Blend with fork until flour is all moistened

5. Roll into plastic wrap and refrigate until ready to use

The crust makes the pie for me. After trying numerous recipes I have had the most success with this recipe. I have to recall my mathematical skills when making this recipe for several pies at one time.
