1¼ cups sugar
¼ teaspoon salt

Directions:

Beat eggs at medium speed for about 10 minutes. Add sugar slowly. Beat until not gritty.

Add 1 tablespoon anise seeds. Fold in 2¼ cups flour (sifted 4 times) a small amount at a time. Drop teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 300° for 10 to 15 minutes, until edges are brown.
